SHS STUDENTS JOIN CAREER EXPO 2023

In line with the celebration of the Senior High School Month, the Senior High School students of the Basic Education Department attended the Career Exposition 2023 in the morning of February 10, 2023, at the New Site Gymnasium. Attending alongside the Senior High School students and faculty were guests from different backgrounds, who were invited to talk about their personal experiences in their career.

As soon as the opening program concluded, the Grades 11 and 12 students were divided into different clusters for the concurrent sessions. Present at the SPUS New Gymnasium were Ms. Kristal Liza Besario, RN, MAN, Engr. Jay Alfred Rejuso, Dr. Karen Angeline T. Trinidad, and Ms. Vanessa Dianne Dubduban, MDRT. They shared their lives and professional backgrounds, including the highs and lows of their careers. Moreover, they implied the importance of their jobs and the possible opportunities to venture based on their field of work.

In the parallel session, the HUMSS students listened to the talks of PEMS Cheryl Quinto Saldo and Atty. Lawrence C. Biol, both graduates of Juris Doctor, emphasizing that degrees do not amount to anything upon entering law school.

On the other hand, Mr. Loren Paul Escalante and Ms. Rhodora B. Olaivar delivered a lecture to the TVL/ADT students. Both gave a talk about tourism management, culinary courses, and hospitality jobs. In their discussion, they advised the students to explore, show their skills, and never be afraid to try tourism for tourism is an industry of industries.

After the concurrent sessions, all attendees gathered at the gym for the event’s closing

By the end of the event, this year’s career exposition had brought many incomparable lessons to the SHS Paulinians - it was able to harness the fundamentals of choosing a career and what it meant to have one. (News Article by Sean Galvan | Contributors: Cherragrid Ladaga, Dessa Canda, Ish Samonte)
